Our Mission
Our mission is to support and invest in local projects and/or organizations to rebuild sustainable infrastructure using local resources. Facing natural catastrophe is part of the Caribbean lifestyle. Some years are better than others. 2017 showed us how tragic the situation can be. Hurricanes Irma and Maria swept through the Caribbean and have caused unprecedented and widespread devastation, forcing thousands of people out of damaged homes in the Leeward Islands – from Dominica to the Virgin Islands. Unfortunately this wasn’t the first time nor the last. Many organization are putting together a tremendous effort on the humanitarian needs and relief donations– UN, Red Cross, CDEMA... but only a few are helping in a permanent way to rebuild structures and relaunch sustainable businesses.
Our Goals
Our beautiful Leeward Islands are famous for sun, tropical nature and beaches....”the Caribbean lifestyle". But ultimately, facing natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, volcanos, is a common part of this lifestyle"
Children, the elderly, the disabled and the poor are those who suffer most.
Bring Back The Sun empowers the local communities of the Leeward Islands (from the Virgin Islands to Dominica) to develop long term sustainable projects:
• To REBUILD in a safer way leveraging the local resources
• To ENSURE a stable economy while supporting small businesses' recovery
• To be BETTER prepared for the next natural disaster
“A better, safer, more stable and prosperous future for all”
"Over the past 30 years, the number of annual
weather-related disasters has nearly tripled"
-Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations

Who We Are
Delphine Quieti, founder of the organization, was born and raised in Guadeloupe. Her family has been living in Guadeloupe and Martinique since the XVIII century. She moved to Paris at 18 to complete her studies and pursued her dream developing a career in marketing in great fashion companies between Paris, Italy and London before deciding to dedicate herself to her 3 children. She is married with Cristiano Quieti, currently an Executive of Coach, Inc. after spending a long career at Diesel and as a CEO of John Varvatos. Delphine and her family have been living in NYC for the past 7 years: during this time she has been very active in supporting various charity activities including the organization of fundraising events. Delphine thinks there is still a long way to go and that the most difficult could be to find help on a long term base, to rebuilding the structures (at least a 5 year project).
